MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 22nd September, 2021) A cell of religious extremists propagandizing terrorism among migrants was destroyed in Russia's Yekaterinburg, the Federal Security Service (FSB) said on Wednesday.
"The FSB of the Russian Federation in the city of Yekaterinburg suppressed the activities of a religious extremist cell, consisting of natives of the Central Asian region. It was established that members of the criminal group were involved in the propaganda of the ideology of international terrorist organizations and persuading migrant workers to commit terrorist crimes in Russia," the statement says.
All suspects were dettained in the framework of the initiated criminal cases, material evidence confirms their contacts with terrorists leaders in the middle East, as well as the persuasion of labor migrants to terrorist crimes in Russia, the FSB added.
