KABUL (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 22nd September, 2021) The Taliban movement (banned as terrorist organization in Russia) sent a letter to the United Nations, calling for establishing relations, and hopes for a positive response, Taliban spokesman Bilal Karimi confirmed to Sputnik on Wednesday.
"The Islamic Emirate has sent a letter to the United Nations in which it called on the United Nations to establish relations with the Islamic Emirate in order to pave the way for interaction ... The Islamic Emirate expects the United Nations to respond positively to this letter, so that joint work can begin," Karimi said.
