MIRPURKHAS, (Pakistan Point News - 8th August, 2016) : On the directives of the Divisional Commissioner Mirpurkhas, the district administration Mirpurkhas has constituted a committee at District level to supervise the issues relating to violence against innocent women in the name of honor (Karo Kari), forcible marriage and to give the hands of women as penalty in jirgahs. According to a handout issued here on Monday by district information office and a notification issued by the deputy commissioner, the committee will be headed by the Deputy Commissioner, while SSP Mirpurkhas, District officer women development department, president Bar Association Mirpurkhas, Deputy Director social welfare Department and a SRPO's representative will serve as member of the committee.
The committee shall supervise the issues relating to women and in case of any malfeasance or misfeasance, shall put forth its recommendations, for legal action, in accordance with law.
