India to seek help from International Court of Justice for Kulbhushan Jadhav release

NEW DELHI, (Pakistan Point News – 19th April, 2017) : A petition has been filed in New Delhi Court to seek help from International Court of Justice for Kulbhushan Jadhav death sentence in Pakistan. The public interest litigation (PIL) carried out by Rahul Sharma requested to seek consular access to Jadhav. The plea states that Jadhav has been illegally detained by the Pakistani government and is denied a fair trial. According to the petitioner, Pakistan government has violated obligations established under the Vienna Convention on Consular Relations (VCCR) and international law by refusing to provide consular access to Jadhav. Moreover, these violations by Pakistan government must be challenged in the International Court of Justice.
