Lahore, (Pakistan Point News – 5th August, 2016) : Rio Olympic 2016 competitions will start from today. The opening ceremony will be held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Pakistani contingent are encamped in the Olympic Village, Pakistani flag was also hoisted there. A special event has been organized, joined by Syed Arif Hasan president of Pakistan Olympic Association, Khalid Mahmood, Chief de Mission Shaukat Javed. Shooter Ghulam Mustafa Bashir will raise the Pakistani contingent’s flag in March past. All arrangements have completed for the opening ceremony. Thousands of officials will perform security duties. Metro service has also launched for travelling to the Olympic Park. A rehearsal of the fireworks was conducted for the opening ceremony.
