Riyadh, July (پاکستان پوائنٹ نیوز 27 يوليو 2026ء) The first route, which is the fastest, starts in Riyadh and passes through the governorates of Al-Zulfi, Buraidah, and Al-Shanan before reaching the city of Hail. It is approximately 620 kilometers long, with the journey taking about six hours. The second route passes through the governorates of Al-Muzahimiyah, Shaqra, and Al-Nabhaniyah, covers approximately 731 kilometers, and takes about eight hours.
RGA cited Hail Region's developed road network, which extends for more than 5,566 kilometers and serves as a vital artery that enhances the region's position as one of the Kingdom's mountain tourism destinations.
Hail Region is located in the northwest of the Kingdom and is distinguished by its geographical location, which made it an important historical stop along ancient trade routes. It was also a major stop on the Iraqi Pilgrimage Route, known as Darb Zubaydah.
The region is home to the rock art sites of Jubbah and Shuwaymis, which are listed as UNESCO World Heritage Sites, in addition to its diverse natural landscapes comprising mountains, valleys, and sand dunes. Among its most prominent landmarks are the Aja and Salma Mountains, as well as part of the Great Nafud Desert.
