Riyadh, July (پاکستان پوائنٹ نیوز 21 يوليو 2026ء) The meeting reviewed 31 initiatives from both sides aimed at strengthening economic cooperation between the two countries, including 17 by Saudi Arabia and 14 by the United States across a range of sectors.
The initiatives are designed to enhance economic cooperation by reviewing trade and investment policies while supporting technical dialogue between the relevant authorities.
The council meeting was attended by Deputy Governor for International Relations at the Saudi General Authority of Foreign Trade (GAFT) Abdulaziz Alsakran and Assistant United States Trade Representative (AUSTR) for Europe and the middle East Bryant Trick, who led their respective delegations.
Chaired by GAFT, the Saudi-US TIFA Council focuses on five main objectives: developing trade and investment policies, facilitating trade and addressing technical and regulatory barriers, strengthening cooperation on sanitary and phytosanitary measures and agricultural products, enhancing intellectual property protection, and promoting digital trade, innovation, and emerging technologies.
