Al-Qura Governorate: Captivating Nature, Rich History, Cultural Heritage

Al-Baha, July (پاکستان پوائنٹ نیوز ‎‎‎ 04 يوليو 2026ء) The governorate has seen development projects that have improved infrastructure, municipal services, and public parks, enhancing its appeal as a tourist destination in line with development and quality of life goals.

Al-Qura Municipality President Eng. Moussa Al-Zahrani stated that the municipality has mobilized its resources to serve residents and summer visitors through its summer operational plan, covering cleanliness, environmental sanitation, preventive health, and comprehensive maintenance works.

He noted that five tourist sites have been prepared, including Tharwa National Park spanning 750,000 square meters, featuring green spaces, an open theater, a children's theater, family seating areas, pedestrian paths, and children's play areas; Nakhal National Park at 77,371 square meters; Sabiha Park at 42,502 square meters; Al-Mostashfa Park at 15,427 square meters; and Al-Ashtaa Garden at 10,410 square meters.

He also noted the construction of the Tharwa National Park walkway, measuring 1,610 meters, and the Al-Ashtaa walkway, measuring 2,037 meters, serving sports and leisure enthusiasts.

Al-Qura Governorate features a number of rural farms, resorts, and heritage villages, including Bakhroush Village and Al-Atawilah Heritage Village, along with rural lodges, cafés, and camping sites.

The governorate serves as the northern gateway to Al-Baha Region, known for its hospitality, urban development, rich history, and stunning nature.
