Riyadh, June (پاکستان پوائنٹ نیوز 30 يونيو 2026ء) Ahead of the tournament, Riyadh Municipality announced the preparation of more than 25 public viewing locations across the capital and the region's governorates and centers under the "World Cup Closer to You" initiative. The initiative aims to provide community-based venues equipped to broadcast World Cup matches in an accessible and family-friendly environment.
The designated venues include public parks, promenades, municipal theaters, public squares, and hospitality destinations, all equipped to welcome visitors throughout the tournament. The initiative also supports the expansion of community events across cities and governorates in Riyadh Region.
The initiative forms part of Riyadh Municipality's efforts to strengthen community engagement through public events and activate public spaces with activities that enhance residents' and visitors' quality of life, in line with its vision of building a prosperous and sustainable Riyadh.
Visitors welcomed the availability of 12 fully equipped viewing sites distributed across five geographical zones—north, south, east, west, and central Riyadh—making the events more accessible to local communities. Families and individuals praised the vibrant atmosphere in public parks and "My City" office locations, noting that the municipality had successfully combined the excitement of the global sporting event with open public spaces, municipal theaters, and Riyadh's recreational destinations to provide entertainment options suitable for all age groups.
