Najran, June (پاکستان پوائنٹ نیوز 29 يونيو 2026ء) Najran Municipality has prepared King Fahd National Park, Prince Jalawi bin Abdulaziz Park in Aba Rashash, Prince Turki bin Hathloul Park, Al-Safa Park west of Najran City, more than 110 parks, 36 walking trails, and five public squares to welcome visitors during the holiday season. Preparations included intensified health inspections, cleaning campaigns, tree and flower planting, landscaping, and maintenance of walkways, sidewalks, lighting poles, children's playgrounds, and public service facilities, helping create an attractive natural environment for visitors and families.
The municipality has also completed preparations for the launch of the festival, which features more than 120 cultural and entertainment events across 11 venues, including King Fahd National Park, Prince Jalawi Park, Prince Turki Park, the Events and Conferences Center, the Ministry of education Stadium, Mount Raoum, and Al-Safa Park. The festival forms part of the municipality's efforts to boost tourism and economic activity while strengthening Najran's position as a distinguished summer destination.
Najran possesses a rich civilization spanning thousands of years, reflected in more than 186 archaeological sites registered with the Heritage Commission. These include the Al-Ukhdood Archaeological Site and Hima Cultural Area, which contains more than 6,400 rock inscriptions and petroglyphs and is inscribed on the World Heritage List. The region also features open-air traditional markets showcasing the products of local artisans, along with vibrant folk arts, including traditional dances, chants, and daily cultural practices. These are regularly presented at heritage events, heritage villages, and open markets, which also offer traditional performances and cuisine that attract visitors from within the Kingdom and abroad.
