Riyadh, June (پاکستان پوائنٹ نیوز 29 يونيو 2026ء) The minister was briefed on the coalition's key programs and initiatives across its four domains: ideological, media, military, and counter-terrorism financing. He was also introduced to the coalition's specialized capacity-building programs aimed at strengthening coordination and integration among member states. The programs also enhance their readiness to combat terrorism and extremism in line with international best practices.
The coalition also reviewed initiatives implemented in the Maldives, including the "Media Professionals for Peace" initiative in the media domain, the "Prevention and Capacity Building for Imams and Preachers" initiative in the ideological domain, and the "Competency and Cyber" initiative in the military domain. It highlighted the tangible impact of these initiatives in strengthening national capabilities and developing specialized expertise, reflecting the strong partnership and cooperation between the two sides. The coalition also reaffirmed its commitment to supporting member states through high-quality capacity-building programs that enhance preparedness.
The visit forms part of the IMCTC's ongoing efforts to strengthen partnerships with member states and expand cooperation in capacity-building programs, thereby enhancing collective efforts to address security and terrorism-related challenges and support international peace and security.
