Both sides also emphasized the importance of enhancing regional and international cooperation to strengthen the resilience of global mineral supply chains.
The discussions reviewed Saudi Arabia's experience in developing its mining sector, with Waad Al-Shamal Industrial City presented as a leading model. The two ministers also explored opportunities to exchange expertise, deepen cooperation in mineral resources development, and enhance technical capabilities to support the growth of the mining sector in both countries.
Alkhorayef invited his Jordanian counterpart to participate in the sixth Future Minerals Forum 2027, scheduled to be held in Riyadh in January 2027. The forum serves as a global platform that brings together governments, mining industry leaders, investors, and experts to discuss the future of the minerals sector, strengthen international cooperation, and showcase promising investment opportunities.
