Riyadh, March (پاکستان پوائنٹ نیوز 15 مارس 2026ء) SAIP explained that the guide highlights the regulations and legislation that guarantee the rights of artisans and underscores the importance of using these legal tools to transform handicrafts from traditional practices into protected and sustainable economic assets.
The authority made the guide available to the public through its official website (www.saip.gov.sa) as a Primary reference for those working in the sector. It provides comprehensive guidance on how to register trademarks, industrial designs, copyrights, and patents related to handcrafted products such as textiles, palm-based products, woodwork, leather goods, pottery, embroidery, metalwork, traditional building materials, and rosary making, among others.
The guide is part of ongoing cooperation between SAIP and the Ministry of Culture and aligns with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030, which seeks to stimulate economic growth and increase the contribution of creative industries to the national economy.
Through this initiative, SAIP aims to strengthen the intellectual property system both locally and internationally, while raising awareness of its provisions through continuous outreach. The effort also supports the preservation of traditional customs and heritage crafts, protects them from infringement, and promotes an environment that encourages national creativity and innovation.
