NCW: Third Phase of Initiative to Register Unlicensed Wildlife Concludes

Riyadh, June (پاکستان پوائنٹ نیوز ‎‎‎ 01 يوليو 2026ء) The NCW said it will stop accepting new registration applications through the Fitri platform at the end of the day. It affirmed that all applications submitted during the initiative will continue to be reviewed, processed, and finalized in accordance with the approved regulations and requirements.

The initiative helped regulate wildlife possession, document ownership records, safeguard owners' rights, and enhance standards for wildlife housing and care in line with environmental and health considerations, the NCW said. It also strengthened oversight of wildlife ownership and trade activities while helping curb non-compliant practices that could affect wildlife species and their natural habitats.

The initiative underscores the importance of integrating regulation with public awareness to protect wildlife and promote compliant practices related to wildlife ownership and trade. It also supports the Kingdom's efforts to conserve biodiversity, protect natural habitats, and ensure the sustainability of ecosystems for future generations.
