The vice minister stated, "To develop national industrial capabilities and enhance Saudi industry's global competitiveness, we have launched specialized industrial clusters focused on transforming raw materials into high-value-added products. An advanced railway network is crucial for integrating these clusters and industrial cities, maximizing the industrial sector's impact on economic diversification."
He also pointed out that developing the railway-manufacturing sector and localizing technologies offers significant investment opportunities, particularly in producing essential components like wheels, locomotives, and signaling systems. Additionally, he highlighted national investments in specialized metals, plastics, and rubber, vital to the railway industry.
SIREC 25 serves as a key platform for major railway companies to showcase innovations and build partnerships, contributing to the railway industry's development both locally and regionally.
