Lunar Terrain Observed on International Night in ‘Rafha Sky’

Rafha, October (پاکستان پوائنٹ نیوز ‎‎‎ 04 اكتوبر 2025ء) Member of the Afaq Society for Astronomy Burjas Al-Falih explained that astronomy enthusiasts around the world turned their gaze toward the sky tonight as part of a global initiative sponsored by NASA. He noted that the event seeks to deepen public engagement with the moon and inspire appreciation of its unique terrain.

Al-Falih added that this night offers an ideal opportunity for astronomical observation, as the moon is in its waxing gibbous phase, allowing most of its surface to appear illuminated and revealing details of craters and mountains with long, distinct shadows. He pointed out that the moon can be observed through various means, including the naked eye, binoculars, telescopes, and photography, as it is only a few days away from reaching the full moon phase.
