They reviewed the latest developments in the Gaza Strip and the efforts being made to end the war in the strip and enhance security and stability in the middle East. They emphasized the necessity of immediately alleviating the humanitarian suffering of the Palestinian people and achieving a complete Israeli withdrawal. Both leaders agreed on the importance of initiating practical steps toward achieving a just peace based on the two-state solution.
