Sakaka, September (پاکستان پوائنٹ نیوز 30 سبتمبر 2025ء) The event showcased the diverse ways Saudi coffee is prepared across the Kingdom, with each region distinguished by its unique methods and choice of ingredients.
Northern Saudi coffee stood out with its deep, dark roast, achieved through prolonged roasting over fire and enriched with cardamom. The eastern style was highlighted with a medium roast flavored with cardamom and saffron, while the southern tradition offered a lighter roast infused with cloves, cinnamon, ginger, alongside cardamom and saffron. The central region’s coffee was also prepared with cardamom and saffron, whereas the western variation distinguished itself with the addition of mastic.
Saudi coffee remains a cornerstone of traditional hospitality, typically served alongside a variety of dates. Through marking the Saudi Coffee Days, the Sakaka Cultural House seeks to showcase the cultural diversity reflected in the preparation of Saudi coffee across the Kingdom.
