New York, September (پاکستان پوائنٹ نیوز 26 سبتمبر 2025ء) The meeting took place on the sidelines of Albudaiwi's participation in the meetings of the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.
During the meeting, they reviewed international and regional efforts for nuclear disarmament and the prevention of an arms race. They also discussed ways to strengthen relations between the GCC and the United Nations in the fields of disarmament, peace, and security. Albudaiwi emphasized the importance of this cooperation, citing the unprecedented crises, wars, and tensions currently facing the region.
The secretary-general reiterated the GCC's position on disarmament and the importance of stability and a region free of nuclear weapons. "We are looking forward to joint work between the United Nations and the GCC Emergency Management Centre in this field," he stated.
