GEOSA Grants GM Panoramic Imaging Permit to Support Autonomous Driving

Riyadh, September (پاکستان پوائنٹ نیوز ‎‎‎ 16 سبتمبر 2025ء) The authorization opens new horizons for leveraging advanced imaging technologies to support smart transportation systems and develop high-precision digital road maps, essential for enabling advanced driver assistance systems, including GM's hands-free Super Cruise technology. The advanced system utilizes high-definition LiDAR maps to deliver optimal safety and precision on the road, enhance road and passenger safety, and help save lives.

Super Cruise helps minimize human error while enhancing mobility and supporting the automotive sector and national innovation in emerging technologies, aligning with Saudi Vision 2030. The technology is planned to cover over 36,000 kilometers of highways across various regions of the Kingdom.

GM middle East became the first company in Saudi Arabia to receive official approval to carry out such an initiative.
