These projects, which reflected future trends, included a virtual reality bike, remote-controlled robotic arms, a navigation system for autonomous vehicles, an automated sign-language translator, and smart systems using generative AI to assist people with disabilities.
The initiative is part of KACST's commitment to supporting young national talents and preparing them to engage in advanced research environments. It aims to bridge the gap between educational outcomes and the labor market while enhancing their capabilities in fields that serve as pillars of the digital economy. This aligns with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 and the national aspirations for research, development, and innovation towards building a knowledge-based economy driven by innovation.
