Makkah, June (پاکستان پوائنٹ نیوز 20 يونيو 2025ء) The authority reported that more than 67,000 Hajj pilgrims benefited from this service, emphasizing that it alleviated the burden of carrying heavy luggage while performing rituals at the Grand Mosque.
The service enabled pilgrims to drop off luggage at designated storage centers or collection points located at the main entrances. Items were securely stored on specially designed shelves with strict monitoring systems to ensure fast retrieval and accurate data matching. The process included inspecting and registering the luggage, issuing a wristband with the pilgrim's information, and scanning an electronic identification code for verification. The luggage was then securely stored and transported to ensure maximum protection.
Four luggage storage centers were established at the western courtyard behind Toilets No. 6, Ajyad Street next to Toilets No. 1, the guest care center in the western courtyard, and near the Makkah Al Mukarramah library in the eastern courtyard. These centers operated around the clock during the Hajj season, in addition to seven points at the main entrances.
