SDAIA Technology Eases Hajj Journey for Ivorian Pilgrims under Makkah Route Initiative

Abidjan, May (پاکستان پوائنٹ نیوز ‎‎‎ 21 مايو 2025ء) Under the initiative, supervised by the Ministry of Interior in collaboration with various government entities to streamline travel procedures for pilgrims before their arrival in Saudi Arabia, the SDAIA deployed cutting-edge technologies that significantly reduce time and effort. Pilgrims were able to complete all entry procedures, including passport control and Hajj visa issuance, from their home country in a secure and highly efficient digital environment.

The SDAIA outfitted dedicated airport terminals with mobile units equipped with biometric registration devices and specialized digital border systems, directly linked to relevant authorities in Saudi Arabia to enable fast and accurate data transmission.

In addition to providing technical infrastructure, it also deployed a 24/7 on-site team to oversee the setup and operation of field stations, ensuring uninterrupted service through the use of backup systems.

These efforts have expedited the flow of pilgrims from Côte d'Ivoire through carefully designed travel pathways, guiding them from the completion of pre-departure procedures to boarding, and upon arrival in the Kingdom, directly to their accommodations without delays.

Inspired by Saudi Vision 2030, the Makkah Route Initiative has transformed the Hajj experience for pilgrims from West Africa. SDAIA's impactful role highlights the Kingdom's global leadership in digital solutions, using artificial intelligence as a human-centered bridge to ease pilgrims' journey to Makkah with confidence and comfort.

Beyond technical support, SDAIA's involvement reflects Saudi Arabia’s broader vision of leveraging technology to elevate service quality, enhance operational efficiency, and deliver world-class digital solutions that prioritize people—regardless of distance or language.
