Taliban Attack in East of Afghanistan Kills 25 People, Leaves 17 Others Injured - Reports
MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 11th November, 2018) At least 25 people were killed and 17 others injured in an attack that Taliban movement carried out in the eastern-central Afghan province of Ghazni, local media reported on Sunday, citing a source.
The 1TV channel reported that the attack was carried out in Ghazni's Jaghori district on the night into Sunday.
The fatalities include 10 representatives of the government forces.
The Afghan Defense Ministry had not confirmed the causalities, but said that investigation into the attack was underway.
The Afghan government has long been engaged in a conflict with the Taliban movement, along with other terrorist groups operating in the country, including the Islamic State (banned in Russia).
