Multan Sultans tried their best to chase the target of 201 runs but they fell short of one run in the final clash of Lahore Qalandars at Gaddafi Stadium tonight.

This edition of the HBL PSL has seen many records tumble and it has seen the highest successful run chase ever (when Multan Sultans chased down 243 against Peshawar Zalmi), the fastest century (by Multan Sultans’ Usman Khan off 36 balls), highest individual score (Jason Roy’s 145 not out), most centuries in an HBL PSL edition (seven) and highest-ever match aggregate in the history of T20 cricket of 515 in the match between Multan Sultans and Quetta Gladiators.

Kings’ 11th victory in 17 matches over Lahore Qalandars helped them finish ahead of Quetta Gladiators in fifth place.

Gladiators could not meet the target of 149 set by Qalandars in tonight clash of HBL PSL 8 at Gaddafi Stadium.

The Quetta Gladiators failed to chase the target of 199 runs set by Lahore Qalandars in the 10th match of ongoing HBL Pakistan Super League at National Bank Cricket Arena in Karachi tonight.

Qalandars all out at 118 runs while making efforts to meet the target of 186 runs set by Karachi Kings at National Bank Cricket Arena on Sunday.

The newcomers who are excited to showcase their skills in the mega event include Multan Sultans’ Arafat Minhas, Karachi Kings’ Muhammad Irfan Khan, Peshawar Zalmi’s Haseebullah, Lahore Qalandars’ Shawaiz Irfan, Quetta Gladiators’ Aimal Khan and Islamabad United’s Hassan Nawaz.
