Sources say Pakistan team manager Naveed Akram Cheema raised strong objections with match referee Andy Pycroft after the game, expressing concerns over the TV umpire’s decision.

Naseem was found guilty of violating Article 2.2, which pertains to the abuse of cricket equipment or clothing, ground equipment, or fixtures and fittings.

The match officials for the Qualifier, two eliminators and final, to be held in Karachi from 14 to 18 March, will be announced in due course.

Three members of the ICC’s elite panel of umpires – Aleem Dar, Richard Illingworth and Michael Gough – will be accompanied by Ahsan Raza, Asif Yaqoob, Rashid Riaz, Faisal Khan Afridi, Martin Saggers, Ruchira Palliyaguruge, Alex Wharf and Shozab Raza.
