Nida is the third player from the 17-member squad selected for the New Zealand series to get injured on the tour.

The three ODIs, part of the ICC Women’s Championship 2022-25, will be played from 12 to 18 December in Queenstown and Christchurch.

The second T20I will also be staged at the same venue on Tuesday, while the third T20I will be played at the Sir John Davies Oval in Queenstown on Saturday, 9 December.

The three-match T20I series is scheduled to take place from 3 to 9 December in Dunedin and Queenstown, while the three ODIs – part of ICC Women’s Championship – will be held in Queenstown and Christchurch from 12 to 18 December.

The 17-member squad captained by Nida Dar, undergoes a three-hour training session supervised by the coaching staff led by interim head coach Mauhtashim Rashid.

The latest reports say that opener batsman Imamul Haq will miss Test matches against South Africa because of his thumb injury. Babar Azam has, however, been recovered from the thumb injury and is busy in net practice before arrival of South African team in Pakistan.

Both players have been ruled out after their thumbs fractured during training sessions in New Zealand.

Pakistan captain Babar Azam and opener Imam-ul-Haq have been ruled out of the first Test starting in Mount Maunganui from 26 December, while the tour selection committee has named prolific domestic run-scorer Imran Butt in the 17-player squad

The reports say that the players will start their training from tomorrow till first match on Dec 18.
