Barrister Gohar Khan, the PTI chairman, has made this demand after a local court in Islamabad acquitted both Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi in Iddat case.

The court has ordered the authorities concerned to immediately release Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi if they are not required in any other case.

The court held that both appeals for the suspension of sentences are rejected, and the convicts are not eligible for bail under Section 426 for a bailable offense.

The petition, filed by Barrister Salman Safdar, seeks to suspend the sentence and secure bail for Bushra Bibi.

Additional District and Sessions Judge Muhammad Afzal Majoka would take it up after a request from Session Judge Shahrukh Arjumand.
