The Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO) Friday caught more 66 power pilferers and imposed fine of over Rs 3.3 million for stealing electricity in various areas of the company during the ongoing special anti-power theft drive

The authority says that under the existing structure of electricity distribution companies, it is not feasible to provide relief to consumers.

IESCO's spokeperson has said no clear reason has been given by the Region Control Center.

The latest reports say that the tariff will be between Rs1.49 to Rs4.46 per unit for consumers of various categories.
