A powerful 6.8 magnitude earthquake has hit Guatemala, the National Institute for Seismology, Vulcanology, Meteorology and Hydrology said on Wednesday

The OPEC Fund for International Development, OFID, has approved a US$100,000 emergency aid grant to the International Federation of Red Cross, IFRC, and Red Crescent Societies to support humanitarian operations being carried out by the Guatemalan Red Cross for victims of a recent volcanic eruption.
