Lahore, (Pakistan Point News – 23rd july, 2016) : Lahore is considered as the city of lively people. But the city has been shaken by the threat of kidnapping. According to the media reports, 6 children have been abducted from various areas of Lahore in a few days. Police has not recovered any of them yet. Children have been kidnapped from various areas of Lahore including Iqbal Town, New Anarkali, Shahdara, Nishtar Colony, Chauni and Nasirabad.
IG Punjab said, “Police teams are searching for the missing children but there is no success”. The situation is very alarming and rapid increase in children kidnapping in Lahore during the last 15 days. 208 children were kidnapped in the past few days, 189 children have been recovered while 19 are still missing. A kidnapper was caught by the residents of the Shahdara area yesterday. Police has detained him and he has been under interrogation now. Police is advising parents to remain vigilant and do not let children go out alone. People are raising questions regarding the current law and order situation of the city and asked government to take some serious measures to cope this crime.
