The participation of a large number of foreign businessmen, including those from the United States, at the the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) shows their interest in the Russian market, President of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Sergey Katyrin told Sputnik on Monday
MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 10th June, 2019) The participation of a large number of foreign businessmen, including those from the United States, at the the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) shows their interest in the Russian market, President of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Sergey Katyrin told Sputnik on Monday."Our foreign partners joined the forum in great numbers. There were more than 70 countries. I was told that the US delegation was the second largest, despite the fact that [Washington] was the initiator of all sorts of sanctions. Nevertheless, businessmen, including those from the United States, want to remain in the Russian market," he said during the Primakov Readings international summit in the Russian capital.
The Primakov Readings is an international forum, dedicated to the memory of academician Yevgeny Primakov. This year, at least 80 leading experts from 29 countries and more than 600 representatives from Russian think tanks as well as political and business circles joined the event.
