ST. PETERSBURG (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 07th June, 2019) Russian trade with many countries is growing despite all attempts to prevent this, Russian President Vladimir Putin said at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) on Friday.
"Where is our place? In the struggle for fair democratic principles for the development of international economic ties. As you know, our relations with China, with other countries are developing, too, despite all attempts to prevent something, trade, thank God, is growing so far," Putin said at a SPIEF plenary session when asked about Russia's place in the economic confrontation between the United States and China.
