WASHINGTON (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 07th June, 2019) Greek Defense Minister Evangelos Apostolakis held talks with the Trump administration's number two diplomat to boost bilateral military cooperation with the United States, State Department Spokesperson Morgan Ortagus �said in a readout.
"Deputy Secretary of State John J. Sullivan met today with Greek Defense Minister Evangelos Apostolakis to reaffirm the US and Greek commitment to cooperation that strengthens bilateral defense and security and NATO," Ortagus said after their meeting on Thursday.
Sullivan highlighted Greece's role as a pillar of stability in the Eastern Mediterranean and Balkans, the release added.
The two officials also agreed to continue discussions started at the December 2018 US-Greece Strategic Dialogue, the readout noted.
