Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque Receives Over 900,000 Guests During First 20 Days Of Ramadan

ABU DHABI, (Pakistan Point News - 30th May, 2019) The Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque Centre, SZGMC, received a total of 918,221 guests during the first 20 days of Ramadan, of which 180,017 were worshippers.

The SZGMC collaborated with the Department of Transport in Abu Dhabi to allocate buses to transport worshippers for the Taraweeh prayers during the last 10 days of Ramadan from the additional parking area adjacent to Wahat Al Karama to and from the mosque. In addition, a number of buses are also used to transport worshippers from the Zayed sports City on the 27th night of Ramadan.

The worshippers will be transported to and from specific zones with a waiting period of five minutes starting from 23:00, with a drop off at 03:00. Other parking zones have also been allocated along the Al Jami' Al Kabeer Street to accommodate more worshippers.

The administration has allocated special parking spots for the buses, in addition to providing an additional number of electric cars to transport worshippers and facilitate their access to the prayer hall for the Tahajjud prayers during the last 10 nights of Ramadan. A task force comprising the centre's staff and volunteers is also supervising all the services.
