A woman was shot in the leg, according to a news website, Todo Noticia.

The nationwide strike was called by the federation of trade unions, CGT, to protest President Mauricio Macri's austerity measures.

The one-day strike has halted most of the public transport and garbage collection. Air carrier Aerolineas Argentinas canceled all 330 flights for the day, which affected over 37,000 passengers.
