MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 28th May, 2019) The Russian Embassy in Serbia condemned on Tuesday Kosovar police operation in the north of the self-proclaimed Republic of Kosovo and called for immediate release of Russian employee of the UN Interim Administration Mission in Kosovo (UNMIK), detained during this operation.
"We strongly condemn Kosovar law enforcers' intrusion into Serbs-populated regions in the north of Kosovo and Metohija. This is extremely dangerous and this contradicts all the existing agreements. We are appalled by Pristina government's provocation against Russian citizen, UNMIK employee Mikhail Krasnoschekov. We call for immediate release of the Russian citizen and we insist that all those guilty of this outrageous incident should be held accountable," the Russian Embassy in Serbia said in a statement.
