Section 144 imposed in North Waziristan for one month

The district administration said that all of the gatherings, rallies, meetings and objectionable speeches have completely been banned.

Lahore (Pakistan Point News – 28th May, 2019) Section 144 has been imposed in North Waziristan following the attack on army check post on Sunday.

According to details, Section 144 has been imposed in the area for one month.

The district administration said that all of the gatherings, rallies, meetings and objectionable speeches have completely been banned.

Moreover, exhibiting weapons, doing aerial firing and carrying weapons have also been banned.

The notification issued by district administration stated that a gathering of over five people will be banned while black car mirrors are also not allowed.

A legal action will be taken against those violating Section 144.

A group led by Mohsin Javed and Ali Wazir, assaulted Kharqamar check post, Boyya, North Waziristan tribal district on Sunday morning, causing injuries to five soldiers of Pakistan Army.

Injured Gul Khan was shifted to hospital where he succumbed to his wounds.

According to a statement issued by Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), the aim of attack at the check post was to exert pressure for release of suspected terrorists' facilitator, arrested the other day.

"Troops at the check post exercised maximum restraint in the face of provocation and direct firing on the post," the ISPR said.

"Due to firing of the group 5 Army soldiers got injured. In exchange of fire 3 individuals who attacked the post lost their lives and 10 got injured. All injured evacuated to Army Hospital for treatment," the ISPR added.

The ISPR also said that Ali Wazir along with eight individuals was arrested, while Mohsin Javed was at large after inciting the crowd.
