Supreme Court (SC) while announcing decision of first E-Court hearing has accepted bail before arrest plea of the accused in murder case
ISLAMABAD (Pakistan Point News / Online - 27th May, 2019) Supreme Court (SC) while announcing decision of first E-Court hearing has accepted bail before arrest plea of the accused in murder case.Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) expressed annoyance for not deciding the appeal plea of the accused for three years and indicated for initiation of action against the respective judge of Sindh High Court (SHC).A 3-member bench of SC presided over by CJP Asif Saeed Khosa took up for hearing first case under E-Court system.
SC while expressing displeasure over not deciding the appeal plea on bail before arrest within three years remarked as to why decision was not given in respect of bail plea of the accused for three years. Giving no decision on bail plea for three years runs contrary to judges code of conduct.CJP gave indication for initiating action against the respective judge of SHC Hyderabad registry.The court directed secretary Supreme Judicial Council (SJC) to obtain copy of SHC order and stance of respective judge of SHC besides presenting report to SJC .The court remarked chairman SJC will decide about proceedings In the light of report.Report has been sought from Secretary SJC within two weeks.SC accepted bail before arrest plea of one Noor Muhammad accused in murder case. The murder case was registered against the accused in 2014 at Shahdad Pur police station.
