MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 23rd May, 2019) Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Thursday, commenting on the upcoming premiere of a new BBC talk show that will be hosted by a computer-animated 3D caricature of President Vladimir Putin, that the Russian leader did not want to have anything in common with such images.

BBC announced on Tuesday that it would soon start airing its new talk show, Tonight with Vladimir Putin, which will feature an animated mock-up of the Russian leader, who will be interviewing real guests from behind his desk like any other tv host.

"Many books have been written about Putin, many cartoons have been drawn, and many dolls and caricatures have been created. The president has not read books about himself and has not seen the cartoons. He does not want to resemble them in any way. Let these cartoons resemble him," Peskov said, as quoted by the Govorit Moskva radio broadcaster.

Two pilot episodes of the new talk show are expected air on BBC Two.
