MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 18th May, 2019) Pascale Baeriswyl, the state secretary of Switzerland's Federal Department of Foreign Affairs (FDFA), and South Korean Vice Foreign Minister Cho Hyun met in Seoul on Friday to discuss bilateral cooperation, FDFA said in a statement on Friday.
"FDFA State Secretary Pascale Baeriswyl met her South Korean counterpart Mr Cho Hyun, First Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs, for political talks today in Seoul. Discussions focused on bilateral cooperation and the strengthening of the multilateral system," the statement read.
In particular, the sides discussed cooperation in education, research and innovation, as well as multilateral cooperation on climate change, among other issues, the statement noted.
Baeriswyl and Cho also attended the opening of a new Swiss embassy building in the South Korean capital, according to the statement.
