SCO, CSTO Foreign Ministers to Meet in Bishkek on May 22 - Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry

The foreign ministers of the member states of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) and Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) are scheduled to meet in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, on May 22 to discuss international cooperation and sign a number of documents, the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry's press service told Sputnik on Thursday

BISHKEK (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 16th May, 2019) The foreign ministers of the member states of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) and Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) are scheduled to meet in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, on May 22 to discuss international cooperation and sign a number of documents, the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry's press service told Sputnik on Thursday.

"The Council of Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the SCO member states and the Council of Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the CSTO member states will take place on May 22 in Bishkek ... A number of important documents are anticipated to be signed," the press office confirmed.

The ministers will also discuss matters relating to international cooperation and the upcoming June summit of the SCO Heads of State Council, the press office said.

Kyrgyzstan assumed the chairmanship in SCO and CSTO in 2019. It has already hosted the summits of the Council of Ministers of Defense and the Committee of Secretaries of the Security Councils, as well as the Second SCO Women's Forum.

Among CSTO's six member states, namely Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia and Tajikistan, the former four are also the members of SCO in addition to China, India, and Pakistan.
