This govt department in Pakistan has the maximum complaints against it

The Pakistan Citizen Portal has received 604,074 complaints as of April

Islamabad (Pakistan Point News – 13th May, 2019) Over 11,000 complaints have so far been registered against officers of Railways Ministry at the Pakistan Citizen Portal.

Media reports said that at least 11,163 complaints have been received against officials of various departments of Pakistan Railways.

The highest number of complaints (2,603) was registered against Chief Commercial Manager, then 719 complaints against Railways director and 330 against mechanical engineer.

Seventeen complaints were filed against Managing Director Carriage Factory Islamabad while 28 against chief medical officer.

Minister for Railways Sheikh Rashid Ahmed had earlier announced that an online Railways Complaint Centre would be set up in Islamabad from February 15 for addressing the complaints of passengers regarding railways immediately.

He said that citizens would be able to lodge their complaints round the clock regarding any issue of the railways like misbehave of railways staff or about cleanliness through phone or website.

Meanwhile, the Pakistan Citizen Portal has received 604,074 complaints as of April, out of which 553,953 complaints had been lodged by Pakistani citizens.

Overseas Pakistanis had filed 47,729 complaints till April 11 while 2,392 complaints were made by the foreigners.

Around 449,025 of these complaints had been redressed. The highest complaint redressal rate was witnessed for Punjab which was 43.87 percent.

Prime Minister Imran Khan has categorically directed the authorities concerned to resolve all the complaints registered at the portals and also find out lawful solution to the problems faced by the foreigners too, besides the local citizens.

The prime minister had launched the portal in October last year to create direct link between the government and people for the resolution of their complaints.

At the World Government Summit held at Dubai in February this year, the portal was listed as the second best government App in the world with Indonesia standing at top and the United States at third slot.
