MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 12th May, 2019) Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi will begin his two-day official visit to Russia on Sunday at the invitation of his Russian counterpart, Sergey Lavrov.
The visit of the Chinese high-ranking official was confirmed by Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Geng Shuang on Wednesday.
On Monday, the foreign ministers are expected to meet in the Russian resort city of Sochi to discuss issues related to preserving the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), also known as the Iranian nuclear deal.
The ministers are also due to discuss other urgent international issues, including the situation in Venezuela, Syria, Afghanistan, as well as the crisis on the Korean Peninsula, according to the Russian Foreign Ministry.
