Dubai Future Foundation signs MoUs with innovation organisations in Belgium

Dubai Future Foundation, DFF, has signed memoranda of understanding, MoUs, with Imec, the world’s leading R&D organisation in nanoelectronics and digital technologies, and Vrije Universiteit Brussel in Belgium

DUBAI, (Pakistan Point News - 09th May, 2019) Dubai Future Foundation, DFF, has signed memoranda of understanding, MoUs, with Imec, the world’s leading R&D organisation in nanoelectronics and digital technologies, and Vrije Universiteit Brussel in Belgium.

The agreement aims to explore opportunities for partnerships around R&D programmes in emerging technologies, and client-commissioned R&D projects in the UAE.

The signing ceremony, in AREA 2071 at the Emirates Towers in Dubai, was attended by Omar bin Sultan Al Olama, Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence and Deputy Managing Director of Dubai Future Foundation; Khalfan Juma Belhoul, CEO of Dubai Future Foundation; Abdulaziz Al Jaziri, Deputy CEO of Dubai Future Foundation, Dr. Jo De Boeck, Chief Strategic Officer and EVP at Imec, and Prof. Dr. Romain Meeusen, Vice Rector at Vrije Universiteit Brussel in Belgium.

Headquartered in Leuven, Belgium, Imec has more than 4,000 people from over 85 nationalities and has distributed R&D groups at a number of Flemish universities, in the Netherlands, Taiwan, USA, China, and offices in India and Japan.

Vrije Universiteit Brussel is one of Belgium's largest universities. Its research teams are internationally recognised in many disciplines of fundamental and applied research, especially in the fields of Artificial Intelligence, AI, and robotics.
