Noura bint Mohammed Al Kaabi, Minister of Culture and Knowledge Development and President of Zayed University, has honoured 1,112 students for their excellence to receive the honourary degree "Dean's List" in the first semester of the academic year 2018-2019 at a cumulative grade (3.6 and above)

ABU DHABI, (Pakistan Point News - 09th May, 2019) Noura bint Mohammed Al Kaabi, Minister of Culture and Knowledge Development and President of Zayed University, has honoured 1,112 students for their excellence to receive the honourary degree "Dean's List" in the first semester of the academic year 2018-2019 at a cumulative grade (3.6 and above).

During the ceremony, held at the Zayed University Campus in Abu Dhabi, Al Kaabi said, "We all are living in the age of information revolution that is rapidly evolving. The experience of learning in the present age should be matched and interacted with at a fast pace. Zayed University is keen to develop programmes and courses in its various fields of specialisation in order to meet the changing and evolving needs of the labour market."

She explained that the university's aspirations towards its students goes beyond their academic excellence and activities, but rather towards enhancing their ability to think independently, which give them the advantage of identifying the essential elements of success in any responsibility they take post-graduation.

The minister also urged the students to pay attention to the university's pioneering programmes to develop their abilities and skills through participating in seminars, conferences, and other events inside and outside the country, as well as to communicate with world leaders and to learn about their experiences and best practices.

"All of this contributes to the integration of your scientific and practical preparation, and it will be reflected in the advanced academic and cultural level of our students and graduates, as well as in attracting large public and private institutions, whether for training during the academic period or for post-graduation work," she said.

The ceremony was attended by deans, faculty and staff members, as well as students’ families.
