ISLAMABAD (Pakistan Point News / Online - 08th May, 2019) > PPP Parliamentary party leader Senator Shireen Rehman has said in Senate government does not seem serious in sorting out problems facing the country.Speaking on a point of order in Senate Wednesday she condemned suicide attack outside Data Darbar Lahore saying government does not seem serious in addressing national issues.She said that security situation has deteriorated in the country and price hike has zoomed to its peaks.
On the other hand government is so non serious that it has constituted National Security Council after nine months but it has not summoned even a single meeting of this committee. Opposition parties were not taken into confidence while forming national security council. Government should explain its position in the house.Tabling a privilege motion JI Senator Mushtaq Ahmad said JI was prevented from holding public meeting in KP. FC personnel did not allow JI to hold public meeting despite the fact that permission was obtained from the administration.
JI workers were ridiculed and thrashed.He said we respect national institutions and salute the sacrifices being rendered by them but they will have to take care for their parameterHe stated that an FC personal Muhammad Salim entered forcibly into a home and tried to molest chastity of a woman. The woman shot this personal to save her honor. The incident was reported to police station but the police registered the case against some unknown person instead of FC personal.
Chairman Senate Sadiq Sanjarani issued immediate orders and summoned report of this incident.Senator Raza Rabbani while talking on calling attention notice of Senator Muhammad Kabir Ahmad Shahi said that Prime Minister Imran Khan should come in the Senate and explain his position on the statement given by him during his visit to Iran.On this matter treasury and opposition members exchanged hot words and opposition staged walk out.Opposition demanded that PM or foreign minister should come in the house and give reply on this matter.Chairman Senate Sadiq Sanjarani said that opposition has hijacked the house and he can not summon president or Prime Minister in the house.Upon it opposition staged walk out from the house.
