LHC further extends Hamza Shahbaz’s interim bail till May 22

Strict security arrangements were made for the hearing after the blast at Data Darbar.

Lahore (Pakistan Point News – 8th May, 2019) A Lahore High Court (LHC) division bench has extended interim bail of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Hamza Shehbaz in Ramzan Sugar Mills, Saaf Pani and assets cases till May 22.

The bench, comprising Justice Malik Shahzad Ahmad Khan and Justice Mirza Viqas Rauf, heard the pre-arrest bail petitions, filed by the PML-N leader.

At the outset of the proceedings, Hamza Shehbaz, along with his lawyers - Azam Nazir Tarar, Salman Butt and Amjad Parvaiz - appeared before the bench, besides the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) prosecution team.

Strict security arrangements were made for the hearing after the blast at Data Darbar.

The LHC had earlier extended the interim bail of Hamza Shahbaz till May 8.

The LHC had on April 9 granted pre-arrest bail to Hamza Shahbaz for 10 days against Rs10 million surety bonds on a petition he had filed to refrain the NAB from arresting him.

Hamza Shahbaz is being probed by NAB in Ramzan Sugar Mills, Saaf Pani and money laundering cases.
