MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 06th May, 2019) Caracas hopes that Russia will boost oil imports from Venezuela and increase its investment in the oil sector of the Latin American country, Venezuelan Foreign Minister Jorge Arreaza said Monday.
"Not only do we hope that Russia will import more oil, but we also expect to see Russia producing more oil jointly with Venezuela in the Orinoco oil belt," Arreaza said, as aired on Ruptly live feed.
"We expect Russia to increase investment in [Venezuela's] oil production and are waiting for new joint ventures. We will provide Russia with all the necessary conditions for investing in Venezuela," the minister added.
