Islamabad (Pakistan Point News – 6th May, 2019) A Hindu boy in Mirpurkhas converted to islam and tied the knot to a Muslim girl.
According to media reports, a resident of Digri area of Mirpurkhas, named Sonu, converted to Islam. He married a Muslim woman Maria who also has a child.
The youth has changed his name to Ali.
The incidents of Hindu conversions keep surfacing in Pakistan while some are revealed to have been forced conversions.
Earlier in Ghotki, two sisters Aasia and Nadia had reverted to Islam from Hinduism in Khanpur after leaving their native town of Ghotki and married to Muslim men.
It initially looked like an incident of forced conversion but later it turned out that the girls had accepted Islam by their own choice.
The father of the girls said that his daughters were abducted and forced into changing their religion from Hinduism to Islam. But, a separate video of the girls went viral, in which they said that they accepted Islam of their own free will.
In the light of inquiry committee report formed into the incident, Islamabad High Court (IHC) allowed the newly converted sisters to stay with their husbands.
Following this, several Hindus have converted to Islam with their own will.
